He started to learn the piano at the age 5. From 1973 to 1979 he studied piano at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest with István Antal, Zoltán Kocsis and Ferenc Rados. He obtained his diploma as a pianist artist and professor with distinction in 1980. Since 1979 he has kept consulting the piano with Mrs. Anna Hajdú, professor in Budapest. In 1984 he participated in an intensive master course with the world-famous pianist Bruno Leonardo Gelber. Since 1983 he has been a soloist of the National Philharmony in Hungary � appearing 40 to 50 times yearly in solo recitals, beeing the soloist of concertos for piano and orchestra, and participating in chamber music performances. From 1977 to 1987 he participated in 17 international piano competitions and was awarded 10 prizes. In 1986, on the occasion of the Liszt Centenary he was awarded the Liszt commemorative plate of the Ministry of Culture and of the International Liszt Society for the outstanding interpretations of works by Liszt in Hungary and abroad. He plays in live programmes of Hungarian Radio 4 to 5 times a year. Up to now master-tapes of altogether 12 compositions were recorded with him for the Hungarian Radio. He toured and gave concerts in Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Czehoslovakia, Cuba, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Soviet Union and in Yugoslavia. Between 1989 and 1992 he was a guest professor of piano at the Sapporo State University and gave recitals in a number of Japanese cities. Since July 1992 he is staying in Hungary again giving recitals here and abroad.
