Born in 1973 in Budapest, Tamás Póti pursued his musical studies at the Leó Weiner Music School, the Béla Bartók Secondary Music School, the Franz Liszt Music Academy (Budapest) and the Music Academy of Karlsruhe (Germany). Prize winner of several Hungarian and international competitions (Budapest, Prague, London, Porcia, Passau), he attanded the master classes of Paul Plunket, Maurice André, Konradin Groth, Guy Touvron and Markus Stockhausen. Between 2000-2001 he was solo trompet in the Royal Flamish Philharmonic Orchestra (Antwerp), from 2002 member of the Hungarian State Opera House Orchestra. He has been member of the BFO since August, 2003.
