He was born in 1972 and started to learn the violin with Gyula Szentmihályi at the age of seven. Having obtained his teacher's diploma at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, he continued his studies there as a viola player with János Fejérvári and obtained his second diploma in chamber music in 1995. He plays regularly in the Erkel Ferenc Chamber Orchestra. Since 1995 he has been member of the Budapest Festival Orchestra. He got married in 1998 and is father of two children. Together with his family he is member of the Methodist Church.
