László Cser was born in 1944 in Pécs (Southern Hungary). He persued his primary and secondary musical studies in his native town. In 1962 he was admitted to the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he obtained his diploma in 1967. Between 1963 and 1968 he was member of the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, between 1967 and 1992 of the Symphony Orchestra of the Hungarian Radio, as well as of its chamber formation "Concentus Hungaricus". Since 1992 he has been playing in the Budapest Festival Orchestra. Mr.Cser is also a devoted chamber musician performing regulary as soloist and member of various chamber music groups in different concert series of the BFO.
