Zsuzsa Vámosi-Nagy was born in Budapest on 6th October 1982. After the elementary school she attended the Flute Faculty of the Bartók Béla Conservatory, Budapest. She was taught by professor Zoltán Gyöngyössy. In 2001 she was admitted to the Flute Faculty of the Liszt Ferenc University (Academy of Music) where she have been studying in the class of professor Lóránt Kovács.

In August 2002 she participated at the Summer Academy of Music in Semmering, Austria and she was awarded two 1st and three 2nd prizes in different categories of the competitions. In May 2003 she took part at the International Flute Competition in Bukarest where she won the 2nd prize (the 1st prize was not awarded).In September 2003 she participated at the International Flute Competition in Budapest where she was among the best 16 competitors (she got into the semi-finals). In September 2004 she participated at the International Flute Competition in Munich where she got into the 2nd round, among the best 23 competitors.

She attended several flute master courses organized by Michel Debost in Oxford, András Adorján and Marianne Henkel in Munich, Jiri Valek in Semmering, Aurele Nicolet, Carlos Brunnel in Budapest, William Bennett in Farnham and Jaime Martin in Santander. On 12th February 2004 she gave a live concert on the Hungarian Radio Bartók.

Ms. Vámosi-Nagy gave other solo concerts on 28th October 2004, 2nd April 2005, 7th June 2005 and 24th September 2005 in famous Hungarian concert halls such as the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest. In June and July 2005 she got a full scholarship for the International Music Festival in Santander, Spain where she attended solo and chamber music master classes with Jaime Martin, Hansjörg Schellenberger and Karl-Heinz Steffens and she played in the Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy.

In 2005 Ms. Vámosi-Nagy got the Erasmus scholarship to spend the period from January to June 2006 in abroad and she was admitted to the Royal Conservatory Den Haag, to the class of Emily Beynon. In December 2005 she was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music for Postgraduate Studies in the class of William Bennett and she was awarded a full scholarship which covers my tuition fees for 2006/2007.
