A versatile musician, Peter Csaszar specializes in playing and tutoring both upright and electric bass in theatrical, orchestral and stage shows.
In his first year at college, Peter through auditioning, won a scholarship within the Hungarian Symphony Orchestra led by maestro Andras Ligeti. During this short period Peter had the opportunity to share the stage with remarkable artists as Yehudi Menuhin or Mstislav Rostropovich.
Continuing through his professional classical career, Peter was a member of the Hungarian State Opera House within the bass section where he performed opera, ballet and symphonic repertoires by composers such as Mozart, Verdi, Puccini and Shostakovich. Throughout countless performances with world famous artists like Montserrat Caballe, Kenichiro Kobayashi, Yuri Simonov, Peter was fortunate enough to tour Europe and Asia several times.
In 2003 Peter obtained his masters degree as a classical solo, orchestra and chamber bassist from Franz Liszt Academy of Music and is a qualified educator in classical bass.
Following a specific interest in theatrical and rock shows, Peter auditioned for the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre Company- Budapest`s most succesful theatre, where he played classic operettas and many well known musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music and Romeo and Juliet. He also performed in Dance of the Vampires, written and directed by Roman Polansky.
He also recorded on countless studio works both on electric and acoustic bass for the Budapest Film Orchestra for notable procurers such as Lucas Arts, BBC, National Geographic, Euro Disney and world famous artists Jennifer Rush, Al Di Meola and John Lord (Deep Purple).
In 2009, Peter joined the European tour of the famous American circus, The Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey of Feld Entertainment, with director Phil McKinley and music director Dave Killinger. Shortly after, Peter was offered a contract to perform on electric bass, cello and guitar in Voyage De La Vie, Singapore`s Circus Spectacular.Voyage De La Vie is Singapore`s longest running show and was developed by Mark Fisher and directed by Phil McKinley. Throughout the running of Voyage De La Vie, directing duties have been shared between directors such as, Maggi Sietsma, Guy Caron and Michael La Flur.
