Born in 1974-ben in Szolnok, Roland Dénes started to learn music in his native town. In 1989 he was admitted to the Bartók Secondary Music School in Budapest, later to the Budapest Teachers' Training College of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, where he obtained his diploma in 1997. Between 1996 and 2006 he was member of the Duna Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Dénes has been timpani player of the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 1998.
