Born in 1970 in Budapest, László Herboly was introduced into the world of percussion instruments by János Schwarcz, senior. Having completed his studies in the Béla Bartók Secondary Music School, he was admitted to the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music of Budapest, where he obtained his diploma in 1995, as student of Oszkár Schwarz. Between 1992 and 1995 he played in the MÁV Symphony Orchestra. Mr.Herboly has also a strong interest in jazz: in 2000 he obtained his second diploma at the Liszt Music Academy of Budapest in jazz. Since 1999 he has been a regular participant of the BFO's productions, both in Hungary and abroad.
