Balázs Réti has been playing the piano since he was seven years old. In 1989 he won teh highest prize at the National Competition for the secondary music schools. Among other international prizes, in 1996 he won first prize at the European Piano Competition for Youth in Dublin. He has played in different countries round the world. Since 1999, he has been teaching at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, where György Nádor was his teacher.
