He studied in Győr and then in Budapest at the Ferenc Liszt Acadmy of Music. He graduated in 1977. Between 1967 and 1975 he was a member of the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1975 he has been a solo player of the Hungarian Opera Orchestra as well as the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra.
