He is a graduate of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music as a recepient of the Scholaship of the Hungarian Republic at the Academy in 1992. After completing his studies in choral cnducting, music education and music theory he started to persue graduate studies in Canada (doctoral degree, University of Alberta). He has participaed in masterclasses and made records with the Swedish Eric Ericson and the German Frieder Bernius several times. László Nemes has been working as a conductor of the Hungarian Radio Children's Choir under the artistic direction of Gabriella Thész since January 1997. He is a member of the staf of teh International Kodály Institute of Music Pedagogy in Kecskemét, Hungary.
