Katalin Halmosi began her vocal studies with the opera singer Margit Szilvássy, and for ten years, sang at the Mircea Breazu vocal school in Cluj, Romania. Her current teacher is Ilona Adorján. For ten years, she sang with the State Choir. Since 1995, she has been the member of an international opera company with which she has given converts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Scandinavia. She made her debut at the Hungarian State Opera in 2000 as Maddalena in Verdi's Rigoletto.
