Erika Gál is a mezzo-soprano and has sung in a number of Hungarian State Opera House productions. Her repertoire is wide, having played in Berlioz (Beatrix et Benedek), Bizet (Carmen), Kodály (Háry János), Mascagni (Cavaleria Rusticana), Mozart (Magic Flute), Strauss (Salome), Verdi (Aida, Otello) and Wagner (Die Walkyre). In Pécs, she sang Martha from Gounods Faust.
In 2020 he received the Silver Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (civil division). In 2023, she was awarded the Zoltán Závodszky Prize for outstanding achievement in Wagner performances.
