Attila Réti was born in Szeged and graduated in French and Hungarian from the Attila József University. He was always interested in singing and later graduated from the conservatoire. He undertook further studies in Vienna with Theodore Coresi and in Budapest with Zsolt Bende. In 1990 he made his debut at the Szeged National Theatre as Fiorillo in the Barber of Seville. He entered the Busseto and Marseilles international sing competitions. He played Escamillo and Figaro in Prague as a guest singer. At the Budapest Opera House he played Valentin, the Flying Dutchman and was also Lucifer in the premiere of Bozay's opera: Five Last Scenes.
