Soma Dinyés is a conductor and organist. He began his studies at the Béla Bartók Music College, where he studied composition, oboe and organ, and then enrolled at the Franz Liszt Music College in the vocal music and choir conducting faculties. In 1995, he founded the Ars Longa Vocal and Chamber Ensemble. The orchestra's repertoire primarily draws on J. S. Bachs oratorio works, which was performed on original instruments and with small, solo like chorus. Soma Dinyés plays organ and continuo in several ensembles. He is a member of the Erdődy Chamber Orchestra and has frequently worked with Musica Profana, the Orpheo Chamber Orchestra, and Capella Savaria. For two years he was the choirmaster of the Metropolitan Choir.
