Chorus master, musicologist, director of the Ferenc Liszt Memorial Museum. She graduated at the Ferenc Liszt Academy
of Music in Budapest. Between 1967 and 73 she worked for the Music Department of Széchenyi National Library, then in 1973-86 she became scentific associate of the Department of Music History of the Hungarian Academy of Science. As of 1986 she is the director of the Ferenc Liszt Memorial Museum and Research Center. Ms. Eckhardt's main subject is Liszt and his age, and she has published 6 books, several monographies and catalogues on this issue. She is the master of the choir of the Széchenyi National Library.
