Miklós Szabó is the founder and chorus master of the Girls’ Choir of Győr. He is a professor of music theory in the conservatories of Győr and Budapest and is a coveted guest-leturer abroad, too. In 1968 he held a Kodály-method demonstration at the ISME Conference at Dijon, France. In 1974 he was a visiting professor at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, for one term, and held lectures at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. In 1976 he held a Kodály-method demonstration in Milan, Italy. In 1978 and 1979 he held a summer course in the Kodály Musical Training Institute, U.S.A., and in 1979 he taught at the Kodály Course at Cavtat, Yugoslavia; and at the Chetham Scholl of Music, Manchester. In 1980 he taught in the Holy Names College in Oakland, California, for one term.
