Trio Midnight
Orchestra, choir, ensemble
The trio has been playing on a regular base since 1990. They have participated in several reputable festivals and competitions abroad and in Hungary as well. Among other festivals, they took part in the famous Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy through the European Broadcasting Union in 1993, and the celebrated Marcnic Jazz Festival held in France in 1995.
The same year brought an invitation to the 17th Holeiart International Europe Jazz Contest in Belgium, where the band succesfully lived up to the expectations and won the first prize.
Their music is most likely dominated by the effects of Modern Mainstream, in which a special stress is put on grasping the atmosphere and the sound of the music of the golden age of jazz. However the effect of Bebop, Cool jazz, free jazz and even 20th century contemporary music cannot be denied.
