Phoinix gitáregyüttes
Orchestra, choir, ensemble
The Phoinix guitar ensemble was formed in 2001 by Miklós Mosóczi, associate professor at the Liszt Ferenc University of Music, together with two of his artists colleagues, István Kozma and Tibor Török.
The unique and warmly intimate sound created by the trio recalls the popular music of a wide variety of historical ages. Their concert repertoire ranges from music of the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic style periods, and even features contemporary music.
Since its formation the Phoinix guitar ensemble has been a participant in several festivals, including the Baroque Days in Pápa, the Valley of Arts, and the Balaton Festival. They have also performed in Budapest in the concert halls of Pesti Vigadó and Károlyi Palace.
