Viktor Hárs is one of the most sought-after bass-players/bass-guitarists in a country that has an oversupply of world class players on his own instruments. Although not a Gypsy himself, he is the anchor of the Babos Project Special playing a funky kind of Gypsy jazz. Of his own group, Hárshegy founded in 2003 he had this to say: "we play an intellectual, vocal, contemporary popular type of jazz."
