A tight ethno-jazz group that doesn’t shrink from the occasional foray into free improvisation. Its leader is one of the stars of the Southern Plains Saxophone Ensemble which brought the house down in London’s Union Chapel Hall. It’s an interactive, frequently humorous production and the music is catchy, full of surprises but deeply rooted in the musical traditions of the Carpathian basin.
