Tropical Transform Quintet

Orchestra, choir, ensemble

The Tropical Transform Quintet is a most genuine and inventive jazz band. In their compositions they combine fusion jazz, Hungarian folk music, and classical romanticism, and their performances are extremely energetic and showcase the players’ virtuosity. In the process of developing their own style throughout the years, they drew from different sources of inspiration, among them the music of modern jazz greats like Michel Camilo, Michael Brecker or Joey Calderazzo. Their individual and refined playing style makes each composition a real treat to listen to. The band is a regular performer at domestic and foreign festivals. They display an exceptional ability to electrify their audiences. They have released two albums so far, and the second one, The Geometry of Desire from 2004 has been successful enough to be distributed in the Czech Republic as well.
