The Katona twins, Péter and Zoltán were born in Hungary. They began their guitar studies in Budapest individually, before studying as a duo in Frankfurt and London at the Royal Academy. They also attended Julian Bream’s and John William’s masterclass. They made their debut in London in 1997 and New York (Carnegie Hall) in 1998. For several years, they have collaborated with the contemporary music formation, the Park Lane Group. They have won several awards, such as first prize at the French Montelimari competition. The duo have released CDs containing music from Scarlatti to Astor Piazzolla, as well as works by Rodrigo, Vivaldi, Bach, Tedesco, Albéniz, Granados, de Falla and Mozart.
