All the three musicians of the trio - Violetta Eckhardt (violin), Ben Lasserson (cello) and Ervin Nagy (piano)- were schooled in the chamber music tradition of the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy under such luminaries as György Kurtág and Ferenc Rados, with whom they broadened their experience of the various chamber music genres. Both as chamber musicians and soloists, all three musicians have performed to great acclaim in Hungary and abroad, including radio and television appearances and CD recordings. They have also participated in various international music festivals. Before establishing the trio they had already performed together in such musical centres as Salzburg, Budapest, London and Rome.
