The present line-up of the Kaltenecker Trio crystallized in 1997, and the unique sound of the combo soon attracted the attention of many music enthusiasts. The Trio plays pianist Zsolt Kaltenecker's compositions, which are characterized by the harmonic world of the late 20th century, polymetrics, polyrhythm, the sophisticated placement of horizontal planes, and youthful dynamism. It is important to note that all these elements find their place in the well-defined system of tonality and approachable melodic lines.
Kaltenecker has always found his primary objective to express atmospheres through music in the best possible way, adding a tinge of humor as well.
