Remarks, other info
Based on the poem by Szabolcs Hujber

"The piece is conceived as a semi-theatrical choral work, where the tuba player embodies the character described in the poem. The tuba player enters into the "night" of the choir, and the music explores the rhythmic nuances of the German text. These rhythms lay the foundation for the solo tuba’s written improvisation. In the final section, the choir takes on the sound of an R&B a cappella group, with the tuba providing the bass groove while the bass singers rhythmically speak or "rap" the lyrics."
