Daniel Lazar was born on the 11th of July, 1995 in Budapest, Hungary. He began her musical studies at 7 at the Jenő Lázár Elementary School. His first piano teacher was Pálné Tamásfalvi. He continued his studies at Zoltán Kodály Hungarian Choir School, and after the graduation he started to learn composition under the guidance of Levente Horváth Márton.
From 2015 he studied conducting at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music under Professor Zsolt Serei, Zsófia Tallér, Péter Tornyai and Ádám Balázs, where he received her diplomas in 2018 (BA Composition), in 2021 (MA Composition) and in 2021 (Master diploma - Composition).
He won several prizes of international competitions. In 2017 his work Preludium and Fantasia won the 3. prize at the Compositon Competiton of Franz Liszt Academy of Music, and in 2018 he won the first place with his work Quartet "E". He was the winer of the II. Budavári Beethoven International Composition Competition. In 2021 he won third prize at the Composing Contest Generace in Ostrava.
His compositions were played e.g. by Anima Musicae Chamber Ensemble, Óbudai Danubia Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of Szeged and Alba Regia Symphonic Orchestra. He is also a solfeggio teacher of Aladár Tóth Music School.
He has been awarded with Artisjus-Prize in 2022.
