Benjamin Kovacs was born in the 18th of June, 1993 at Budapest. After graduation he started to learn in 2013 at Conservatory Etude at Clasical piano and jazz piano class. One year later, in 2014 he abandoned it and started to study music composing at University of Pécs until 2015 when he was admitted for Hungarian culture and language / drama pedagogy and theatre MSC Teacher class of University Pannon in Veszprém.
He can play more instruments (piano, guitar, cello, clarinet, violin). He has worked as jazz pianist but he has also synchronized series and movies. From 2012 to 2013 he was the director and musical assistant of Budapest Operetta & Musical Theatre, from 2013 to 2014 he worked as a musical assistant of Thália Theater. He was the director and musical assistant of Kaposvár Gergey Csiky Theatre one year long, until 2015. He worked as a composer for National Theatre and Balett of Pécs, and Budapest Dance Theatre. In 2016 he was the musical assistant of Miskolc National Theatre.
His first album’s title is Lord of the Flies (orchestral album), but he made experimental music records too (2012 – HYDRONOMA). He is a member of Hungarian Composers Society and Theatrical Workers Society.
In 2012 he won the Junior-Artisjus Award, and the Hungarian Live Music Award, in 2013 he was given the Hungaropus Experimental Music Award.
