25 June 1915 (Pozsony, Hungary) - 22 April 1989 (Cleveland, USA) Hungarian composer and conductor. He studied at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest and conducted concerts of his own music in Bayreuth and Salzburg. In 1951 he emigrated to the USA, became an American citizen and settled in Cleveland. He established the American New Opera Theatre Society in 1954.
