József Bujtás, composer, violin-, solfege and music theory teacher, was born on 8 April 1947 in Budapest. He received musical training from an early age. His teachers included Sándor Szokolay, Rudolf Maros, Attila Bozay, Zsolt Durkó, Endre Székely, Ferenc Farkas, Pál Károlyi. He has had major performances and premieres in Hungary and abroad (e.g. Japan, Canada, Belgium), and his plays have been broadcast on Hungarian Radio on several occasions. He is a founding member of the Society of Creative Musicians.
