Composer, conductor and organist. He started his music studies in the Teachers’ Training Institute of Győr, and later he became pupil of Viktor Herzfeld at the teachers’ training department of the Music Academy.
He taught in Pannonhalma and then in Vác, where at the same time he was organist and conductor of the cathedral. H e founded and for some time also directed a music school in Vác, but simultaneously he also taught music theory and theory of harmony in the National Conservatory.
His works primarily consist of piano and organ compositions, of which the collected edition of „Organ music” (1935) is a pre-eminent piece. Beside his sacred and profane choral works and a number of articles and essays he also released a book titled „Schubert and his memories in Hungary” (1916) in many editions.
