Kárpáti Szilvia

Szilvia Kárpáti was born in Győr in 1973. After having her elementary studies in violin she became a student of the conservatory in Győr. Then she started to play the viola as a student of János Láposi and she was accepted to Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in 1992 in the class of Gábor Pongrácz.
In 1996 she won the Pál Lukács Memorial Competition. She became a member of the Symphony Orchestra of Hungarian Radio in 1996. She received her diploma in 1998 and she has been a member of the Budapest Strings since 2000. She is a teacher of Béla Bartók Conservatory, Budapest.
