She obtained her diploma at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest in 1984. For four years she played in the orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera House. For eight years she was also member of the Danubius String Quartet with which she participated at several international competitions, festivals, concert series, radio- and television recordings. She has been member of the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 1992. Ms.Bodolai is married, she is a mother of two children (12 and 19). Her husband is a music teacher.
