Dóra Érsek studied at the Academy of Music, Vienna, the Institute of Music of Széchenyi István University, Győr and Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest. Following her studies with Judit Németh she graduated as a solo singer and chamber music artist in Győr in 2004, and received her opera singer degree - as a student of Dénes Gulyás, Magda Nádor and Balázs Kovalik - from the Academy of Music in 2006. She started her doctoral studies in the same institution in 2007.
She has won several Hungarian and international competitions. She won second prize at La voce - BR - Musikzauber Liedwettbewerb in Bayreuth in 2005. She received the Artisjus award in 2006. She has sung in the Hungarian State Opera House since 2007 where she made her debut as the Second maid in Elektra. Since 2008 she has been a soloist of the Szeged National Theatre. Besides singing opera she is also known as a lied singer.
