Takácsné Nagy Gabriella

Gabriella Nagy started her violin studies at the age of five with the instructions of her father then she attended the preparatory school of Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music in Miskolc. She was accepted to Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest in the class of Béla Bánfalvi. Her chamber music teachers were András Mihály, Ferenc Rados and Márta Gulyás.
She won first prize with the Amabile Quartet at the Leó Weiner Chamber Music Competition. Her quartet is a regular participant of the master classes of the Amadeus Quartet and it has been a performer of several radio recordings.
She was a teacher of Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music in Miskolc and Leó Weiner Conservatory, Budapest from 1992 to 1995. She performed together with the artists of Forrás Musical Workshop, she has been a part-time musician of the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 2003 and a member of Budapest Strings since 1994.
