Born in 1963 in Csorna in Western Hungary, Mr.H.Zováthi started first to learn the violin. It was only at the age of 14 that he changed to the double-bass. He obtained his diploma as student of Zoltán Tibay at the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music of Budapest in 1986. Since 1985 he has been member of the Orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera House, where he is leader of the double-bass section. Mr.H.Zováthi plays regularly in the Budapest Festival Orchestra and has been several times soloist of different BFO concerts.
