György Regály graduated from the Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music in 1987. He is a founding member of the Test Jazz Group, and in the once existing Test Jazz Club ('Jókai Club') he played with almost everyone from among the outstanding representatives of Hungarian jazz: László Dés, László Gõz, Attila László, Tony Lakatos, Gyula Babos, Géza Lakatos 'Pecek', Imre Kõszegi, Péter Dandó, Elemér Balázs etc. He was a member of the bands No-Spa and Jazz Vitamin as well. He played with different formations in Great Britain and in The Netherlands. Today he is a piano teacher at the Jazz Department of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music.
