Kerek Ferenc

Ferenc Kerek graduated from the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in 1974, where he was a pupil of Kornél Zempléni. In 1976 he was the winner of the Debussy International Competition in Varallo(Italy). He then became a frequent performer at concerts organized by the National Philharmonia organization. He has been involved in the premiere of numerous contemporary works, and has been awarded the Artisjus Award on several occasions. He has made recordings of solo and chamber works for Hungarian Radio. For ten years, he has been a member of the Hungarian Baroque Trio, and given concerts in almost every European country, as well as in Cuba. He is the faculty head of the Szeged Conservatoire of Music Academy Budapest.
