Artistic director of the course:
Attila Sztán, Junior Prima Award-winning trombonist, member of the Budapest Festival Orchestra and In Medias Brass.
The course instructors are:
- János Angyal, trombonist of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
- Barnabás Brindás, Junior Prima Prize-winning trombonist
- Dr. Zoltán Kalmár, trombonist, trombone teacher at the Béla Bartók Secondary School in Békéscsaba, member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts
- Gábor Pap, Danubia Symphony Orchestra and Four Bones trombone quartet
- Dávid Sztranyák, Junior Prima Prize-winning bass trombonist, artist of the MÁV Symphony Orchestra and the Operetta Theatre.
Piano accompanist:
Áron Rázga, pianist, conductor of the Békés County Symphony Orchestra.
The master class will be equally focused on individual training and chamber music.
The program will start in the mornings with a joint warm up session, followed by individual sessions in the morning and afternoon. In parallel, chamber music lessons will take place in the afternoon. In the evenings, the course leaders will tell the students about their own experiences with orchestral playing, competition preparation, stage presence, stress management, etc... and trombone ensemble rehearsals will take place.
The masterclass will end with a public concert in the Evangelical Church. The minimum age for the course is 14 years. A limited number of younger B-level music students may participate with parental consent.
At the end of the course, a certificate will be awarded, certifying that the participant has completed 30 hours of active masterclasses.
Participation fee: 40.000 HUF, which includes active participation in the course and accommodation.
