Anna Korondi was born to a musical family in Budapest. The first important stage in her career was the two years spent at the Budapest Béla Bartók Music College. Following this, she graduated with distinction from the Vienna City Conservatoire as a pupil of Margit Bence (solo singing) and David Lutz (lied and oratorio). From 1993 to 1997 she was a member of the Berlin Komische Oper and from 1997 to 1999, worked with the Bonn Opera Society, where she sang the most important roles for her voice (Suzanna, Pamina, Lauretta, Musette, Despina etc.) In September 1996, she was the winner of the ARD Radio Station's Munich international competition. In 2000, she made her debut at the Munich State Opera in The House of Barnada Alba conducted by Zubin Mehta and in 2001, made her Salzburg debut in Die Fledermaus. She regularly performs on the concert stage and her repertoire extends from the Baroque to contemporary music. She has worked with conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Frans Brüggen, Helmuth Rilling, Marcello Viotti and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Her CD, DVD and video recordings have been released by Teldec, Carlton Classics, Farao, and Harmonia Mundi.
