Anikó Péter Szabó earned her degree at the Liszt Ferenc University of Music. She has been a member of the Budapest Opera House since 1969 where she is a leading tutor presently. She is active as cembalist, organist and piano accompanist. From 1975 she used to be a permanent guest at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera through twelve seasons. In the early years she was active mainly in teaching baroque music Monteverdi, Händel Salieri, Mozart operas. Later she continued working for belcanto operas and modern music too. She worked as an assistant of famous conductors: A. Davis, J. Pritchard, R. Leppard, B. Haitink, S. Rattle, N. MC Gegan, L. Gardelli, G. Patane, R. Saccani. She worked in Göttinger Händel Festspiele in 1987, as an assistant of C. von Dohnányi at the Salzburger Festspiele, at the Teatro Politeama Garibaldi in 1996, in Bruxelles Theatre Monnaie as an assistant of L. Zagrosek, then chief coach for Bluebeard Castle of Béla Bartók. In 1996 she has completed masterclass of D. J. Sutherland and Maestro R. Bonynge as accompanist and singer.
