Pianist Éva Szalai's two-part, extraordinary concert combines new or rarely performed pieces by young Hungarian composers with classical repertoire, works chosen by the composers themselves based on their own musical or mood contexts. It is an increasingly common slogan that tradition and innovation go hand in hand, as well as the statement that all music is actually contemporary music, is no stranger to concert-goers.

Whether the young Hungarian composers in question agree with these ideas - and what were their aspects in which they chose the piece for their own works - it will be discussed with the composers in interviews led by music historian Endre Tóth.
